Farnham-Rose, Kosgei Set to Compete in 2016 NCAA Cross Country Championships

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – With third- and sixth-place finishes, respectively, at the NCAA South Regional in Tallahassee, Fla. on Nov. 11, seniors Robbie Farnham-Rose and Antibahs Kosgei qualified for the 2016 NCAA Cross Country Championships as individuals. The 2016 championships will take place Nov. 19 at the Wabash Valley Family Sports Center in Terre Haute, Ind. Indiana State University will serve as the host institution. The men's 10,000-meter race is scheduled for 11 a.m. CT.
The duo will be looking to become the 12th and 13th men's cross country All-Americans in Alabama history and the first for the Tide on the men's side since 2010. The championships appearance is the second in a row for Kosgei and the first for Farnham-Rose.

Farnham-Rose, Kosgei & Waggoner Earn All-South Region Honors
Farnham-Rose, Kosgei and women's senior Hannah Waggoner received All-South Region honors for their performances at the NCAA South Regional Nov. 11 in Tallahassee, Fla.
Farnham-Rose finished third at the 2016 South Regional to earn his second All-Region selection. The senior from Borough Green, England previously earned the honor at the 2014 meet, which was also held in Tallahassee.
Kosgei's sixth-place finish at the regional earned him a spot on the men's All-Region team for the second year in a row. Kosgei, who won the South Region meet a year ago in Tuscaloosa, was also voted the South Region Athlete of the Year in 2015.
Waggoner also earned All-South Region honors for the second time in her career. She was previously named to the women's team as a sophomore in 2014.

The Crimson Tide women were No. 4 and the men were No. 5 in the final regular season U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) South Region rankings released Oct. 31.
