TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama softball concludes its fall schedule Sunday, Oct. 23 with a doubleheader against Wallace State starting at 1:30 p.m. CT. Tickets are just $5 and can be purchased at the gate at Rhoads Stadium.
This is the fourth and final fall doubleheader for the Tide, having already played twin bills against Middle Tennessee, Spring Hill College and Alabama State over the past two weekends. Over six games against those three opponents, Alabama has outscored the competition 66-1. Proceeds from fall games go to the Bama Softball Walk-Off Club, the official booster club for Alabama softball. Fans wishing to sign up for the club and support the program will have the opportunity to do so at all games throughout the fall season.
The Tide returns 14 players from last season's team that made the program's 11th Women's College World Series appearance, finishing sixth nationally with a 51-14 record. The Tide coaching staff was named the NFCA South Region Coaching Staff of the Year for the 10th time in program history, led by head coach Patrick Murphy, who enters his 19th year at the helm of the program this season.
