TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – For the first time, SEC Network will have a full set on site at SEC Basketball Media Days, which will be held at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn., on Oct. 19-20. The Paul Finebaum Show and SEC Now are live both days to highlight a total of 16 hours of coverage planned for the men's and women's basketball preview event.
The Alabama men's team will attend its media day on Oct. 19, with the women following on the 20th.
On the men's side, coach Avery Johnson will arrive on the SEC Now set 11:05-11:20 a.m. CT on Wednesday morning. Alabama student-athletes Corban Collins and Riley Norris will be on live from 12:35-1:05 p.m. CT. On Thursday, women's coach Kristy Curry will be live on the set from 12:30-12:45 p.m. CT.
The event tips off more than 120 men's basketball games and more than 70 women's basketball games scheduled for the network this year. This year's schedule marks the most women's conference games (50) ever scheduled on SEC Network.
The network's coverage of the SEC men's basketball season will both begin and end with SEC Now's onsite coverage at Bridgestone Arena, as the arena is also home to the SEC Basketball Tournament in March. Since SEC Network launched in 2014, every men's conference basketball game has been made available on national television and the network's flagship news and information show has been onsite for the tournament.
Dari Nowkhah will host the men's SEC Now: Men's Basketball Media Day coverage on Wednesday, Oct. 19, with Maria Taylor hosting the women's day on Thursday, Oct. 20. Dane Bradshaw and Daymeon Fishback join Dari on Wednesday for previews, coaching interviews and atudent-athlete interviews. In addition, two new college basketball analysts are set to make their desk debut at the SEC Men's Basketball Media Day.
At SEC Women's Basketball Media Day, Taylor will be joined by returning analyst and former coaches Nell Fortner and Andy Landers.
All SEC Network programming is also available for streaming on computers, tablets, smartphone and connected devices via WatchESPN and the ESPN
