Alabama Women’s Tennis Doubles Pair Advances to ITA Southern Regional Championship Match

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama women's tennis' No. 34 nationally ranked doubles pair in senior Erin Routliffe and sophomore Andie Daniell recorded a win in straight sets to advance to the championship match of the doubles main draw on Sunday afternoon at the Alabama Tennis Stadium, as part of the 2016 ITA Southern Regional Championships.
The Tide's dynamic duo topped Tea Jandric and Zalina Khairudinova of Ole Miss 6-2, 6-2 to clinch the semifinal victory. Routliffe and Daniell are set to take on another Ole Miss pair in Natalie Suk and Anna Vrbenska in Monday's championship match at 9 a.m. CT.
Alabama lone singles win came from its No. 18 ranked singles player in Routliffe, as she outlasted her senior teammate Danielle Spielmann, 6-3, 4-6, 7-5.
All of Monday's matches are set to start at 9 a.m. CT.
