
Scout Day Highlights Week Five of Fall Camp for Alabama Baseball

Wednesday is the Crimson Tide’s annual Scout Day with the team taking the weekend off from the diamond
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Alabama baseball team with begin winding down fall camp with only two weeks remaining as week five begins on Monday afternoon. The Crimson Tide will host its annual Scout Day on Wednesday to highlight the work week, with a pair of practices and two scrimmages also scheduled.
Alabama's Scout Day will provide Major League Baseball scouts the opportunity to take a look at the Crimson Tide's draft-eligible players while also highlighting some of the team's underclassmen. The day is scheduled to feature 65-plus scouts representing MLB clubs and will begin on Tuesday at 2 p.m. CT.
The team will take part in a full practice on Monday to begin the week, with drills starting at 2:15 and running until 5:30. Tuesday's work will be highlighted by a full scrimmage, with the day beginning at 2 p.m. and running until 5:30. Wednesday will be Scout Day followed by another full team practice on Thursday from 2-5:30 p.m. Friday closes out the practice week with a 1:30 p.m. start to practice and a scrimmage to follow.
On Saturday, the team will travel to the Miracle League of Tuscaloosa to visit with the players who make up the league. The Miracle League's mission is to allow every child a chance to play baseball, providing a safe and enjoyable baseball experience for players with mental or physical disabilities, regardless of his or her previous experience or level of ability.
All practice times are subject to change depending on weather conditions for the day. Scrimmages are subject to change, with the amount of innings and pitches per game being determined as fall camp progresses. Dates and times of all practices and scrimmages for the upcoming week can be found on RollTide.com each Monday.
Sewell-Thomas Stadium will be open to fans who wish to watch the practice and scrimmage dates. Fans are asked to enter Sewell-Thomas Stadium through the main gate (Gate 3) located directly behind home plate. Once inside, fans are encouraged to stay in the lower bowl seating area, as access to the upper levels of the stadium is restricted.
