Women's Tennis Completes Day One of Wildcat Duals

The Crimson Tide competed in three doubles matches on the day. Routliffe teamed up with junior Danielle Spielmann, falling 6-1 to seventh-ranked Alex Chatt and Maddie Lipp of Northwestern. Freshman Andie Daniell and sophomore Aryn Greene lost 6-3, while senior Natalia Maynetto and junior Joanna Nena Savva dropped their match 6-2.
In singles play, Routliffe, ranked 63rd in the nation in singles, defeated Northwestern's Erin Larner 6-4, 6-2. Daniell lost in a tough three-set match against 61st-ranked Lipp. Sophomore Bennett Dunn, Maynetto, Savva and Spielmann fell in straight sets.
Play continues tomorrow afternoon at 3:00 p.m. CT.

EVANSTON, Ill. -- The Alabama women's tennis team wrapped up day one of three at the Wildcat Duals on the campus of Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill. Junior Erin Routliffe highlighted Friday's action with her singles victory.
