TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The University of Alabama football team practiced outdoors in full pads on Tuesday afternoon on the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields for a full two hours.
The Crimson Tide welcomes the Ole Miss Rebels to Bryant-Denny Stadium this Saturday for Alabama's first Southeastern Conference game of the 2015 season. The focus will be on slowing down the Ole Miss offense that has gained over 600 yards and scored 70+ points in each of its first two games. Hugh Freeze's Rebels finished 9-4 and earned a Peach Bowl berth last season. Freeze is in his fourth season at the helm in Oxford and fifth season overall as a Division I head coach.
Alabama will return to work Wednesday, once again in full pads, before fine-tuning the gameplan for this weekend at Thursday's practice. The contest between the Crimson Tide and Rebels is scheduled for an 8:15 p.m. CT kickoff and will air live on ESPN with Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit and Heather Cox on the call.
