Volleyball to Host Coaches Clinic March 28

TUSCALOOSA, Ala . - Alabama volleyball will host a coaches clinic on Saturday, March 28, covering all aspects of coaching volleyball that will culminate in a scrimmage between Alabama and UAB.
Head Coach Ed Allen, Assistant Coach Ryan Freeburg, Strength and Conditioning Coach Josh Hampton and Team Nutritionist Sidney Smith will each be featured as speakers during the program, covering multiple topics necessary for running a successful volleyball program. The clinic will take place at Foster Auditorium and will start at 10 a.m. CT.
The full program is as follows:
10:00 - Individual Technique and Skill Development; Defense and Blocking (Ryan Freeburg)
10:45 - Team Defense Drills and Strategies (Ed Allen)
11:30 - Volleyball Nutrition for Peak Performance (Sidney Smith)
12:00 - Lunch
12:30 - The 5th Set Program; Volleyball Specific Strength and Conditioning (Josh Hampton)
1:15 - Developing the Setter (Ed Allen, Ryan Freeburg)
2:00 - Individual Technique and Skill Development; Passing and Attacking (Ryan Freeburg)
2:45 - Serve Receive Offense (Ed Allen)
3:30 - Questions/Break/Warmups
4:00 - Alabama vs. UAB
