Crimson Tide in the NFL Spotlight: Week 14

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Below is a look at some of the highlights from last week by former Crimson Tide players currently in the NFL.
Mark Barron once again led the team in tackles, notching 11 stops, including two for a loss, in the St. Louis' 21-14 victory over the Detroit Lions. He has continued to shine after transitioning from safety to linebacker and currently leads the Rams in tackles with 97.
Landon Collins recorded a team-high eight tackles and forced a fumble as the New York Giants defeated the Miami Dolphins, 31-24, on Monday Night Football. The first-year standout leads the team in tackles with 86, and ranks first among rookie defenders with 65 solo stops.
Quinton Dial played a key role on the San Francisco defense, recording four tackles, including one for a loss and a sack, in the 49ers fell to the Cleveland Browns. Dial also blocked a field goal attempt on the Browns opening drive, becoming the first 49er to block two field goals in one season since 1983.
Kareem Jackson continued to produce since returning from an ankle injury as he posted a team-high nine stops in the Houston Texans' 27-6 loss to the New England Patriots. He also added one pass breakup.
Julio Jones reeled in seven passes for 88 yards as the Atlanta Falcons fell to the Carolina Panthers. For the season, he has a career-high 109 receptions for 1,426 yards and six touchdowns in 13 games. Jones continues to have an impressive campaign, leading the league in catches and yards and ranking third among wideouts with 465 yards after the catch.
Eddie Lacy had his best game of the season, rushing for 124 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries in the Green Bay Packers' 28-7 victory over the Dallas Cowboys. He also caught a pass for 24 yards.
AJ McCarron got the first extensive playing time of his NFL career in the Cincinnati Bengals' 33-20 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. After starter Andy Dalton suffered an injury, McCarron took over in the second quarter and completed 22-of-32 passes for 280 yards with a pair of touchdowns and interceptions. He will hold the position of starting quarterback for at least one more week, and will make his first career start next week.
Rolando McClain notched double-digit tackles for the second consecutive week, leading the Cowboys' defense with 11 stops before leaving the game with a head injury. Dallas would eventually fall to the Packers, 28-7.
