TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - For the second consecutive season, Alabama volleyball's Sierra Wilson has earned First Team Academic All-America distinction from the College Sports Information Directors of American (CoSIDA). She is the first two-time Academic All-American in program history.
Wilson owns a 4.0 cumulative GPA as an English and Political Science major. She is a two-time Academic All-American and three-time Academic All-District award winner, the only player in program history to do either. She is one of just three players on this year's list to earn Academic All-American honors last season and the only among those three on last year's First Team. Wilson is one of three SEC players on the list, joined by Kentucky's Morgan Bergren on the First Team and Ole Miss' Aubrey Edie on the Third Team.
This season, Wilson set the Alabama career assists record finishing with 5,771. She posted over 1,000 assists in each of her four seasons, joining previous career record-holder Brigitte Slack as the only two players to do so at Alabama.
