Baseball to Host Alabama Exposure Camp December 19-20

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama baseball team will host an exposure camp on Dec. 19-20 for pitchers and position players available to current 10th-12th graders. The camp will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday with Sunday's time to be determined based on teams selected at the camp.
Exposure camp offers players the opportunity to showcase their talents in front some of the best coaches in college baseball, and also provides players the instruction and teaching to mold their abilities to The University of Alabama way of playing baseball. The morning session will be dedicated to players showcasing their skill sets and after lunch time will be dedicated to teaching the game at an advanced level from the Crimson Tide coaching staff along with other collegiate coaches.
Sewell-Thomas Stadium will be open to campers for the first time since its complete renovation over the past year. Saturday is scheduled to start at 9 a.m. CT and run until 5 p.m. CT, with Sunday's times to be determined based on each player's team assignment.
The pitchers will begin Saturday with stretch and will then break off into separate stations focused on: arm care, band exercises, weight room work, pitching drills and pitching talk. Camp will break for lunch from 12:40-1:40 p.m. before the skill instruction part of camp that runs from 2-5 p.m. to close out the day.
The positon players Saturday will also begin with stretch and throw and will then break off into a pro-style workout. A break for lunch will then come at the same time, and the players will return for position-specific instruction from 2-5 p.m. to finish day one.
Day two will blend both sessions into a combined eight teams who will face off in one game apiece. The first set of games is set for a 9:15 a.m. first pitch and will run until the final out of the day's fourth game, which begins at 4:30 p.m. CT.
