Crimson Tide in the NFL Spotlight: Week 9

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Below is a look at some of the highlights from week nine by former Crimson Tide players currently in the NFL.
Julio Jones had another standout day, grabbing 10 catches for 137 yards in the Atlanta Falcons 17-16 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. In just his ninth game of the season, Jones went over 1,000 receiving yards for the third time in his career. The wideout has recorded five or more catches in all but one game this season and has notched double-digit receptions in four separate games. He continues to stake his claim as the top receiver in the league, leading all wideouts in catches (80), yards (1,029) and yards after the catch (363).
Amari Cooper continued his impressive play, hauling in seven catches for 88 yards and a touchdown in Oakland's 38-35 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The performance brings Cooper's season total for catches to 45, setting the Raiders team record for most receptions by a rookie wide receiver. He currently leads all first-year players in catches, yards (653) and receiving touchdowns (4).
T.J. Yeldon had another productive game, rushing for 64 yards on 14 carries while adding three catches for 37 yards in the Jacksonville Jaguars 28-23 loss to the New York Jets. Cementing himself as the leading rusher for the Jags, Yeldon has rushed 115 times for 470 total yards to average 4.1 yards per tote. The rookie is second among first-year backs in yards, while ranking third in catches (19) and receiving yards (119).
Mark Ingram posted another solid performance, gaining 54 yards on a season-high22 carries while adding four receptions for 42 yards. The Saints lead back, Ingram has put together 584 yards rushing this season with five scores, and has added 37 receptions for 316 yards to his totals. Among running backs, Ingram ranks second in all-purpose yards with 898. He also ranks third in rushing touchdowns and yards after the catch (315).
Landon Collins helped lead the New York defense in a 32-18 win over the Tampa Bay Bucs, ending the game with five tackles and a pass breakup. The first-year safety leads the Giants in tackles with 56 stops and ranks third among all rookie defenders in that same category.
Dre Kirkpatrick notched a team-high five tackles and added a pass breakup in the Cincinnati Bengals 31-10 win over the Cleveland Browns on Thursday Night Football. Kirkpatrick ranks fifth on the Bengals in tackles with 31 and is tied for third in solo stops with 27.
