Football Goes Back to Basics during Bye Week

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The University of Alabama football team returned to the field Tuesday afternoon for a two-hour session in shells inside the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility, completing the first of three workouts during the bye week. The practice focused on fundamental execution and cleaning up any miscues from the Tennessee game.
After a 19-14 win over the Volunteers last Saturday, the Crimson Tide will enjoy its first bye weekend of the season. Following the break from play, the Crimson Tide will being preparations for a top-10 showdown with the LSU Tigers. Alabama and LSU will meet on Nov. 7 at Bryant-Denny Stadium for a 7 p.m. CT kickoff on CBS. Verne Lundquist, Gary Danielson and Allie LaForce will work the broadcast for the third straight weekend and fourth time this season.
The Crimson Tide and Tigers will meet for the 80th time in series history, with Alabama owning the 49-25-5 all-time advantage. Most recently, Alabama came away with a thrilling 20-13, overtime win in Baton Rouge.
