Rowing to Begin Fall Season Against UAH

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Alabama Rowing begins its fall season with a head-to-head meet against the UAH Chargers beginning at 9 a.m. CT on the Black Warrior River.
Races will run west down the river, starting at the McFarland Blvd. bridge and running to the Lurleen B. Wallace Blvd. bridge. Multiple boats will be in action, including pairs, doubles, fours and eights. The Alabama men's club crew will also be competing.
This will be the only opportunity for fans to see the team compete in Tuscaloosa until late March of 2015. Alabama's remaining fall dates include the Chattanooga Head Race (Oct. 11), Head of the Charles (Oct. 18-19) and the Head of the Hooch (Nov. 1-2).
This will be the final competition launched from the old facilities, as the grand opening of the brand-new boathouse and rowing facilities is set for Thursday, Oct. 23 at 4:30 p.m. Check back at rolltide.com for details in the coming weeks.
