Crimson Tide Moves Indoors for Wednesday Practice

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The football team continued its preparations for Saturday's Southeastern Conference opener against Florida with a two-hour practice at the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility on Wednesday.
Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. on CBS with Verne Lundquist handling the play-by-play duties, Gary Danielson the analyst and Allie LaForce on the sidelines. The game can also be heard on the Crimson Tide Sports Network with the national broadcast on the Compass Media Network.
The Crimson Tide offense is off to a record-setting pace with 1,705 yards of total offense in the first three games for an average of 568.3 yards per game, which is a school record. The previous best was 1,646 yards in the first three games of the 1973 season (548.7 ypg). The 1,705 yards is the second most in a three-game stretch in school history (1,844 from Oct. 20-Nov. 3, 1973).
Dating back to last season, Alabama has eclipsed the 500-yard barrier in four straight games (OU, 516; WVU, 538; FAU, 620; USM, 547) for the first time in school history. The Tide has totaled 2,221 yards (555.3 ypg) in its last four games (second most in a four-game span in school history) and 2,716 yards in the last five games (543.2 ypg), which is the most in five straight games in school history.
