Football Holds first workout inside Superdome on Sunday afternoon

NEW ORLEANS - The No. 1-seeded Alabama football team completed its 10th practice of bowl preparation on Sunday afternoon with a two-hour workout inside the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in advance of its 15th appearance in the Allstate Sugar Bowl.
Before practice, defensive coordinator Kirby Smart and select defensive players met with the news media at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Defensive Press Conference in the New Orleans Convention Center Marriott. Offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin and members of the Alabama offense will meet with the media before practice on Monday morning.
The Crimson Tide will then practice at the Superdome in the afternoon before a visit at a local children's hospital following practice. The Crimson Tide will square off against the fourth-seeded Ohio State Buckeyes on Thursday, Jan. 1, at the Allstate Sugar Bowl, with the winner earning the right to play for the inaugural College Football Playoff National Championship on Jan. 12, in Arlington, Texas.
