TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The football team worked for two hours in full pads Wednesday at the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields as it put the finishing touches on the game plan for No. 14 LSU Saturday night at Tiger Stadium.
Kickoff against Bengal Tigers is set for 7 p.m. (CT) on CBS. Verne Lundquist will handle the play-by-play duties with Gary Danielson as the analyst and Allie LaForce on the sidelines. The game can also be heard on the Crimson Tide Sports Network with the national broadcast on ESPN.
With the NFL passing the midway point of the season, former Alabama football greats took to the gridiron, highlighted by a strong performance from former Crimson Tide running back Mark Ingram.
In a 28-10 win over the Carolina Panthers on Thursday night, the New Orleans Saints' Ingram toted the rock a career-high 30 times, picking up 100 yards with a pair of touchdowns. The former Heisman Trophy winner plunged in from two yards out to give the Saints their first score of the game, and then ran in another with 5:30 to go to cap off the win.
With Ingram's second multiple-touchdown game of the season, he now ranks third in the NFL in rushing touchdowns (6). In addition, back-to-back 100-yard performances since a returning from injury have hoisted Ingram to third in the NFL in rushing yards per game (86.2).
On the defensive side of the ball, Baltimore Ravens rookie C.J. Mosley continues to pile up tackles, recording nine (six solo) in week nine to move up to third in the NFL in tackles (85) for the season.
