Alabama Continues Prep for Iron Bowl

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The No. 1 Alabama football team worked out for two hours in full pads on the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields Wednesday afternoon as they continued preparations for No. 15 Auburn.
Saturday's kickoff inside Bryant-Denny Stadium is set for 6:45 p.m. on ESPN. Brent Musburger will handle the play-by-play duties with Jesse Palmer as the analyst and Maria Taylor on the sidelines. The game can also be heard on the radio on the Crimson Tide Sports Network while the national radio broadcast in available on Compass Media.
Alabama junior wide receiver Amari Cooper enters his third Iron Bowl needing just one catch to secure Alabama's career receptions record. He is currently tied with DJ Hall for the career lead with 194 catches. Cooper also needs only nine receiving yards to surpass Georgia's Terrence Edwards for second place in SEC history.
In two games against Auburn, Cooper has 11 catches for 287 yards and three touchdowns. He has 90 receptions for 1,349 yards and 11 scores in 2014 and is a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award. Fans also get a vote for the Biletnikoff Award by going to the Biletnikoff Award Fan Vote website.
