Head Coach Anthony Grant
Opening statement:
"They are a very good basketball team and we knew that coming in. There is a reason they are a top-11 team in the country, and undefeated right now. They do a good job defending. We really struggled to have any continuity from an offensive standpoint, because of their defense. They did a good job getting to the free throw line and rebounding the basketball. Those two areas were the difference tonight. We struggled to limit them to one shot. If you look at the last few possessions, they were able to get multiple shots at the rim. We didn't get stops. That and the free throw line were the differences tonight."
On Wichita State's energy in the beginning of the game:
"They jumped on us. We had a lot of errors in the first half. They were able to get out in transition. I felt like our defense was good enough. When we were set, we did a good job limiting their opportunities and made it tough for them to get looks. Once we settled down and took care of the ball, we had success on offense. After that, we were able to set our defense. We felt we weathered that storm in the first half."

On his hip:
"My hip was feeling good, like Coach (Anthony Grant) said it wasn't that bad, it was just for precautionary reasons. It was a little tight but today it felt good. I thank the trainers for working on it and giving me treatments so I can get on the floor."
On what was happening during the last sequence of the game:
"It was just a fifty-fifty ball. They wanted it more than we did down the stretch, or on that play. Those are the plays that we have to get down the stretch to get over that hump. When we watch film and see it, we just have to learn from it."
