Defensive end Wallace Gilberry earned his first start as a Cincinnati Bengal on Sunday and did not disappoint. Gilberry, starting for just the fourth time in his six-year career, finished with four tackles and two sacks, as the Bengals snapped Patriots quarterback Tom Brady's streak of 52 games with a touchdown pass. Gilberry added three quarterback hurries, a tackle for loss and a forced fumble en route to a 13-6 victory.
San Diego linebacker Jarret Johnson racked up six tackles and two sacks in a 27-17 loss to the Oakland Raiders late Sunday evening. The former two-time captain at Alabama also forced a fumble in the fourth quarter. Johnson has collected three sacks in the last two games.
In his first action since suffering a concussion on Sept. 22, Eddie Lacy nearly reached the 100-yard mark against Detroit Sunday. The rookie running back had 99 yards on 23 attempts in the Packers' 22-9 victory.
Robert Lester is continuing to turn heads in the Carolina secondary. On Sunday, Lester notched three tackles and an interception for Carolina in a loss to Arizona. The rookie has now started both games since being moved to the Panthers' active roster from the practice squad, and he has an interception in each of those games.
Ravens linebacker Courtney Upshaw picked up two tackles and a sack to help Baltimore beat Miami 26-23. Buffalo defensive lineman Marcell Dareus had five tackles as the Bills lost to the Browns 37-24 in the Thursday night game.
Wide receiver Julio Jones, the sixth overall pick in the 2011 draft, will square off against cornerback Dee Milliner, the ninth overall pick in the 2013 draft, when the Falcons host the Jets in the Monday Night Football matchup.
