In doubles, the Crimson Tide's Mary Anne Daines and Natalia Maynetto were narrowly edged out by Auburn's No. 3 seed Pleun Burgmans and Emily Flickinger, 8-6, for a spot in the finals, while in singles, Burgmans, the tournament's No. 1 seed, beat Alabama freshman Erin Routliffe, 6-3, 7-6(3) and No. 3 seed Caroline Rohde-Moe of Ole Miss outlasted Danielle Spielmann, 6-7, 6-1, 7-5.
The Tide will be back in action in two weeks when it hosts the Roberta Alison Fall Classic, Nov. 1-3.
