• Saturday's contest vs. Texas A&M was the 2,500th game in UA program history. Alabama's first year was the 1912-13 season. The Crimson Tide, celebrating its 100th year of men's hoops this year, finished that season with a 7-4 record.
• The contest vs. Texas A&M was the lone meeting between the two schools during the regular season.
• Saturday's game marked the 10th meeting on the hardwood between the two schools. The Tide now owns a 7-3 edge in the all-time series. The Crimson Tide's victory snapped a three-game losing streak to the Aggies. Alabama improved to 3-1 record when playing Texas A&M at Coleman Coliseum.
• Senior guard Andrew Steele plays a key factor for Alabama this season. The lone senior on this year's team missed seven games (late Nov. through month of Dec.) recovering from a sports hernia. Over that span, the Tide went 2-5. However, UA is now 9-1 when Steele has suited up this season, with the lone defeat coming at then-No. 10 Missouri (Jan. 8).
• Junior guard Trevor Releford returned to action from an ankle injury (he missed the Mississippi State game) vs. Texas A&M. Releford started slow and finished 0-of-2 without a point in the first half. However, he scored all 15 of his points in the second half on 5-of-6 shooting from the floor in the win.
• Alabama's bench outscored its counterparts, 26-6, in the victory. The Crimson Tide reserves were led by Releford (15) and Nick Jacobs (8), who combined for 23 of the reserves' 26 points.
• Alabama trailed by 11 points, but outscored Texas A&M, 35-23, en route to the victory. In the second half of Alabama's last three games, the Tide is shooting a combined 62.7 percent (47-of-75) in the second half, which includes a season-best for a half of 67.9 percent in the win at Mississippi State. Over the three-game span, the Tide has outscored the competition by an average of 14.3 points in the final 20 minutes.
• Trevor Lacey hit the game-winning 15-foot jump shot with nine second left in the contest. Prior to hitting that jumper, Lacey was 0-of-7 from two-point range (4-of-6 from beyond the arc). He finished the game with 14 points on 5-of-14 shooting and led the team with six rebounds, five assists and three blocks.
• Texas A&M came into today's game leading the SEC in three-point shooting. However, the Alabama defense held the Aggies to 18.2-percent shooting from beyond the arc (2-of-11). For the season, the Crimson Tide has held opponents to just 31.3 percent shooting from three-point range.
• Alabama finished with 10 steals in the contest, including nine steals in the second half along. This season, the Tide is 10-1 this season when recording at least eight steals in a contest.
• The victory today marked the first win by any Alabama team over Texas A&M team since the Aggies joined the Southeastern Conference prior to the 2012-13 season.
