TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama football team split time between the Thomas-Drew Practice Facility and the Hank Crisp Indoor Practice Facility on Saturday for the squad's 24th session of fall camp as a thunderstorm rolled through the area.
The team worked in full pads for two hours as preparations for the season opener against Michigan continued. The start of the 2012 season is just one week away with kickoff slated for 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 1, at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
The Crimson Tide will have Sunday off before entering its first game week of the 2012 season on Monday. Alabama is slated to have four additional practices and a walk-through prior to kickoff on ABC.
"Fall camp was more about the fundamentals and trying to get the basics down, whether learning it for the first time for the young guys or refreshing it for the older guys," Christion Jones said. "Game week is more paying attention to detail and what we have to do to attack a team and play our best football."
