TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - In addition to helping out with camps, workouts and attending classes, several members of the women's basketball team spent time in the Tuscaloosa community volunteering this summer. The team got involved with the Summer Food and Fun Program at the McDonald Hughes Center, which gave the student-athletes a chance to speak with and encourage children to each healthy and exercise.
Throughout the academic year, women's basketball will continue its community service efforts through the annual Fifth Grade Fastbreak program, in addition to athletic-wide events such as the Halloween Extravaganza and Project Angel Tree.
