TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama rowing team travels to Rhode Island this weekend where it will also compete against Boston University and Central Florida on the Narrow River.
The Crimson Tide will open racing Saturday at 11:30 a.m. EDT with the action continuing on Sunday starting at 7 a.m. EDT. It will mark Alabama's first trip to Kingston, R.I., and its first spring meeting with Boston and Rhode Island. The Tide is an affiliate member of Conference USA where they frequently face off against Central Florida.
This weekend marks a cross-country swing for the Crimson Tide, which competed at the San Diego Crew Classic two weeks ago before traveling to the east coast this weekend. The Quad Meet marks Alabama's next to last regular-season meet. Alabama will host Iowa April 21 on the Black Warrior River before opening the postseason with the Conference USA Championships in May.
