Meet Katie Bourgeois

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - This week Alabama soccer will feature each of its five newcomers. The third is Katie Bourgeois from Katy, Texas. Bourgeois arrived in Tuscaloosa from Seven Lakes High School where she finished school early to enroll at Alabama for the spring season.
The 5-5 forward plays her club ball for Steve Firth and Russell Gee on the Albion '94 Girls. Bourgeois has helped lead her club to four straight top three finishes in the state, including two runner-up finishes in 2009 and 2011.
Bourgeois helped Seven Lakes High School to a 2009 regional quarterfinal appearance. She was named to the academic all-district team and the all-district second team in her only season playing prep soccer.
Bourgeois carried a 4.3 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society and French Honor Society. She plans to major in chemical engineering.
