Baseball on Television Nine Times In 2012

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - With today's announcement of the 2012 Southeastern Conference baseball television schedule, the Alabama baseball team will make nine television appearances during the 2012 season. The Crimson Tide will make two appearances on the ESPN family of networks, in addition to four games on Comcast Sports Southeast (CSS) and another three on Fox Sports Net South (FSN).
The Crimson Tide's game at LSU on Sunday, Apr. 15, will be televised at noon, CST on ESPN2. The game was originally slated to begin at 1 p.m. CST. Alabama will make its second nationally televised appearance on Apr. 26, when the Tide takes on defending national champions South Carolina. The game against the Gamecocks, which is part of the ESPN Thursday Night SEC Baseball Game of the Week schedule, begins at 6:30 p.m. CST, on ESPNU.
In addition to the ESPN network broadcasts, seven games will be televised regionally.
The four games on CSS include the Capital City Classic on March 6, against Auburn, at 7 p.m. CST. Game two of the series at Arkansas will be televised by CSS and begin at 3 p.m. CST, and game two of the series at Tennessee will air live on CSS with first pitch at noon CST. Finally, the middle game of the home series against Auburn will now begin at 3 p.m. CST, and will be broadcast on CSS.
The first FSN broadcast will be the series opener against Auburn on Friday, Apr. 6. First pitch has been moved to 7 p.m. CT, to accommodate the television schedule. As part of Kentucky's UK IMG Sports Network television package, the series opener on Friday, May 11 and game two on Saturday, May 12, will be televised by FSSO when the Tide travels to Lexington, Ky.
