TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The men's tennis team (3-3) will head to Montgomery to take part in the 2012 Blue Gray National Tennis Classic that is being held at Lagoon Park February 24-26. This tournament will feature eight men's teams pinning the Crimson Tide against No. 23 Texas Tech (5-2) in its first match on Friday at 1:30 p.m. CT.
"As always, we are very excited to participate in the Blue Gray tournament," said Alabama head coach Billy Pate. "It's always been a home away from home for us with great support in the Montgomery area. The hospitality is second to none, and we embrace that support and excitement in what promises to be an exceptionally strong field. We certainly want to have a great showing, and it's important for us to manage our preparation and focus to the highest degree. We have a tough first round opponent with Texas Tech, and we need to at our best from the first point and throughout the tournament."
