
Meet Abby Lutzenkirchen

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Alabama soccer has featured each of its five newcomers. The fifth is Abby Lutzenkirchen who will head to Tuscaloosa as one of the top recruits in the country.
Lutzenkirchen will head to Alabama from Marietta, Ga., where she prepped at Lassiter High School and plays for Robbie Galvin. Lutzenkirchen plays her club soccer for Dave Smith at the North Atlanta Soccer Association Girls12 Elite II.
The 5-8 center-mid is currently in the U.S. U18 and U20 Women's National Team pools and has been a member of the U.S. National Team at the U15-U20 levels. She is ranked the No. 25 recruit overall and No. 2 prospect in the South Atlantic Region by TopDrawerSoccer.com and the No. 37 recruit on the ESPN HS 150 list.
For the NASA 12 Elite II, Lutzenkirchen was named team captain, led the team to a third place finish at Nationals, a National League Championship, a Region III championship, an R3 winner and a State Cup title.
At Lassiter, she has tallied 21 goals and 38 assists. Lutzenkirchen has been named the Team Impact Player (Freshman), Team MVP (Sophomore), Offensive Player of the Year (Junior), Team Captain (Senior Year), first team All-County (all three years) and a Georgia Gatorade Player of the Year nominee
