
Green Selected To Final World University Games Roster

University of Alabama forward JaMychal Green has been selected by USA Basketball for its final World University Games roster that will represent the United States in the international event.
Green, a rising senior from Montgomery, Ala., is joined on the roster by Tim Abromaitis (Notre Dame), Marcus Denmon (Missouri), Ashton Gibbs (Pittsburgh), Draymond Green (Michigan State), Scoop Jardine (Syracuse), John Jenkins (Vanderbilt), Orlando Johnson (UC Santa Barbara), Greg Mangano (Yale), Trevor Mbakwe (Minnesota), Ray McCallum (Detroit Mercy), and Darius Miller (Kentucky).
The squad will have five more days of practice sessions at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo., before departing for Shenzhen, China, on Aug. 8. Following an exhibition game against a Chinese professional team on Aug. 11, World University Games action starts with pool play on Aug. 13.
The United States, in Group D, will face Mexico (Aug. 13), Hungary (Aug. 14) and South Korea (Aug. 15). After a day off, pool play concludes with games Aug. 17 and 18 against Finland and Israel, respectively. Second round play begins on Aug. 20 with the medal round following on Aug. 22.
