TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The football team held a two-hour session in shells on Friday afternoon at the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields. The Crimson Tide will have one additional practice on Saturday prior to game week.
"We are very anxious to get to that first game," Alabama senior linebacker Alex Watkins said. "We are anxious to prove what we can do as a team, from special teams to offense, to defense."
Alabama began preparation for Kent State on Friday, which marked the 23rd session of the fall season. Following Saturday's practice, the Tide will have Sunday off before its final five practices leading up to the season opener against the Golden Flashes on Saturday, September 3. Kickoff is slated for 11:21 a.m. CT, at Bryant-Denny Stadium, with the game airing in the SEC Network.
