OKLAHOMA CITY - The Alabama softball team arrived in Oklahoma City as it prepares for its first game of the Women's College World Series. The No. 2-seed Crimson Tide will face the No. 7-seed California Golden Bears in the opening game on Thursday, June 2, at noon CT.
Alabama arrived in Oklahoma City in the early afternoon after taking a charter jet that accommodated all the coaches, players and support staff from the Tuscaloosa airport.
After getting settled in at the team hotel the Crimson Tide attended the Championship Banquet, held at the Jim Thorpe Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame. Senior Whitney Larsen was interviewed by Jessica Mendoza of ESPN at the event.
Alabama will have a full day ahead of them tomorrow as it has the annual WCWS media day and then its assigned practice time followed by the press conference.
