Chattanooga Beats Jackson State, 8-1

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Chattanooga Mocs beat Jackson State 8-1, eliminating the Tigers in game four of the 2011 NCAA Softball Tuscaloosa Regional being held at the Rhoads Softball Complex this weekend.
The game was scoreless until the top of the fourth inning when Chattanooga plated five runs. The Mocs added three runs in the top of the seventh to pad its lead before Jackson State scored its lone run of the game in the bottom of the seventh. Chattanooga's Nikki Waters (14-4) picked up the win while the Tiger's LeEthel Guillory (13-10) took the loss.
Chattanooga returns to action immediately, facing Memphis, who lost to Alabama in Saturday's first game. The winner of the day's third game, and the fifth overall, faces Alabama on Sunday starting at 1 p.m.
