
Crimson Tide Arrives in the Big Apple

NEW YORK - The University of Alabama men's basketball team arrived in New York City Sunday afternoon as the Crimson Tide prepares for Tuesday's NIT semifinal contest against Colorado at Madison Square Garden.
The Tide departed Tuscaloosa late Sunday morning and arrived at Newark International Airport at approximately 2 p.m. The half-hour drive to the city afforded the the squad scenic vistas of the New York skyline before arriving at the team's hotel on Times Square.
An intense practice at New York University's Palladium Athletic Center followed as the squad continued its preparation for the Buffaloes. The squad got a few hours to explore fabled Times Square before they returned to the hotel for team meetings and film sessions.
Tuesday, the Tide will meet with the local and traveling media before another afternoon practice, its final full practice before continuing postseason play on Tuesday evening.
