TUSCALOOSA, Ala.- Alabama head soccer coach Todd Bramble announced the spring schedule Wednesday. The Crimson Tide is set to play five games, including exhibition matches in Orange Beach, Mobile and Decatur, Ala.
"This is certainly a challenging spring schedule and it is just what we need for our offseason development," Bramble said. "We lost a lot of our offensive firepower to graduation and these will be important matches for some new players to emerge in our attack. While we are mostly taking our show on the road this spring, we are particularly excited about playing at home on the Friday night before the A-Day game."
Alabama opens the spring schedule on Saturday, March 26, when the Crimson Tide travels north to Decatur to face Memphis in a 6 p.m. match. The next weekend Alabama heads to Starkville, Miss., to take on Southeastern Conference foe Mississippi State in a 7 p.m. match on April 1.
The Crimson Tide will then head south for a weekend of matches on the road. Alabama will start the trip in Mobile and face the University of South Alabama on Friday, April 8, at 6 p.m. The Tide will continue on to Orange Beach, Ala., for another SEC match with Mississippi, on April 10, at noon.
Alabama finishes its spring season at the Alabama Soccer Complex as part of the festivities surrounding the annual A-Day spring football game. The Crimson Tide faces Samford on Friday, April 15, at 7 p.m.
