BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Southeastern Conference announced Thursday that the Alabama softball team will have four regular season games shown on the ESPN family of networks. The Crimson Tide will host a single ESPN broadcast and then will be featured in three contests on the road.
"We are always excited and honored to have a chance to play on television," Alabama head coach Patrick Murphy said. "Our sport has grown so much in the past few years and a lot of that has to do with our games being on TV. Our fan base has grown from Alabama to Rhode Island to Oregon."
Alabama will open its national ESPN slate in a home game against Georgia. The two teams will play a three-game set at Rhoads Stadium with the Saturday, March 19, game being aired at 7 p.m. CT on ESPNU.

The Saturday, April 23, game will be shown on ESPN2 at 4 p.m. ET and the Sunday, April 24, contest will air on ESPN at 1 p.m. ET.
