TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama football team practiced for two hours in full pads Tuesday afternoon at the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields in preparation for Saturday's showdown with No. 14 Penn State.
"They're tough and they're physical," sophomore running back Trent Richardson said of the Penn State defense. "They're a good ball team, so we can't take them lightly at all."
The Crimson Tide's game-week practices will continue Wednesday with another session in full pads and Thursday's practice in shells and a Friday walkthrough before the team meets the Nittany Lions on Saturday night.
Alabama will face No. 19/14 Penn State Saturday, Sept. 11, at Bryant-Denny Stadium. The game is scheduled for a 6:06 p.m. kickoff and will be nationally televised by ESPN with Brent Musburger, Kirk Herbstreit and Erin Andrews calling the action. The game will also be simulcast on ESPN3.com and will also be available on ESPN Mobile TV.
