TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama football team practiced for 90 minutes in shells (shorts, shoulder pads and helmets) Thursday afternoon at the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility. It was the Crimson Tide's final practice before Saturday's top 10 showdown with Florida.
"We want to get ready to play our best football every game that we play," head coach Nick Saban said. "It's a standard that we want to play to here, and it doesn't really matter if the names on the back of the jerseys change and the numbers change but the standard never does.
"That's a very challenging thing to get from a consistency standpoint but it's certainly what we want with our team," Saban added. "I think the focus for our team is to play their best football and learn what they need to do to continue to improve to be able to do that."
The Tide will hold a final walkthrough at the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility Friday before Saturday's much-anticipated matchup between No. 1 Alabama and No. 7 Florida. The game is schedule for a 7 p.m. kickoff and will be televised nationally by CBS Sports with Verne Lundquist and Gary Danielson calling the game from the booth and Tracy Wolfson reporting from the sideline.
