TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama football team practiced for 90 minutes Thursday afternoon in shells (shorts, shoulder pads and helmets) inside the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility.
"We're hopeful that (Marcell Dareus and Mark Ingram) will be able to contribute in a very positive way and make us better," head coach Nick Saban said in reference to getting back two of the Tide's top players. "That's our expectation and there is no reason for us to think any differently based on their attitude, how they've worked or what they've done to this point to be ready to be able to play."
The return of last year's BCS National Championship Game offensive and defensive MVPs looks to be a key in making the top-ranked Tide an even stronger team as they move forward.
Alabama will hold a Friday walkthrough in Tuscaloosa before flying to North Carolina. The Crimson Tide will play Duke Saturday at 2:30 p.m. (CDT) at Wallace Wade Stadium in Durham, N.C. The game will be televised by ABC Sports with Beth Mowins, Ray Bentley and Jenn Brown providing the commentary.
