TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama football team practiced for two hours in full pads at the Thomas-Drew Practice Fields Tuesday afternoon. It was the team's first practice in full pads since coming off last Saturday's 24-3 win over Penn State.
"I know they have a good offense," junior center William Vlachos said. "They scored quite a few points last week against Wake Forest. Our defense is trying to get better every day and prepare for them and we are trying to do what we do on offense."
Alabama's offense will need to be prepared in the event Saturday's game turns into another shootout involving Duke. The Blue Devils put up 48 points in a loss to Wake Forest last week. The Duke aerial attack concluded the day with a 20-31 performance with 258 yards and three touchdowns.
The Crimson Tide will hold two final practices on Wednesday and Thursday before flying to Durham, N.C., on Friday. Alabama and Duke will meet Saturday at 2:30 p.m. CDT at Wallace Wade Stadium on the campus of Duke University. ABC Sports will televise the game.
