GAME NOTES
*Alabama (41-23) captured its seventh NCAA Regional championship with a 10-8 win over No. 8 Georgia Tech on Monday night in Atlanta. It was Alabama's first regional win since 2006 and first regional win away from Tuscaloosa since winning the 1983 NCAA South Regional at Dick Howser Stadium in Tallahassee, Fla.
*Alabama enters the 2010 Super Regionals having won 12 of its last 14 games. The Crimson Tide is 5-1 in its last six road games, winning series' at Tennessee and No. 8 Georgia Tech.
*Alabama placed five players on the 2010 NCAA Atlanta Regional All-Tournament team, including most outstanding player Nathan Kilcrease (RHP), shortstop Josh Rutledge, third baseman Jake Smith, center fielder Taylor Dugas and utility player Ross Wilson.
*Alabama posted a 25-17 record against NCAA Regional teams this season. The 42 games are the most in the country, while the 25 wins rank second to Arizona State (28-7). Alabama posted a 4-3 record this season against national top-eight seeds, going 2-1 against No. 8 Georgia Tech and 2-2 against No. 3 Florida.
