
Weather Ends Mississippi Open After Five Events

OXFORD, Miss. - Due to weather conditions on Saturday, the Mississippi Open was canceled after just a few events were completed on the day at the Ole Miss Track and Field Complex.
The men just got in the 5,000 meter race in which Alabama notched a 1-2 finish. Sophomore Moses Kiptoo was first with a time of 14:24.26 and was followed closely by junior Andrew Kirwa who clocked a time of 14:24.36. Freshman Austin Duckworth was fourth with a time of 15:36.76.
Up next, Alabama will take a week off from competition in preparation for the SEC Outdoor Track and Field Championships, May 13-16, in Knoxville, Tenn.
