
Volleyball Takes Down West Alabama 4-0

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The volleyball team had a successful showing Wednesday night against the West Alabama Tigers winning 4-0 (25-19, 25-20, 25-16, 15-12) in Coleman Coliseum. Junior Alyssa Meuth led the Crimson Tide in kills with 13 followed by freshman Kayla Fitterer with 11.
Junior Calli Johnson finished with the top hitting percentage in the match at .273, while junior Mary Catherine Aune racked up four services aces throughout the match. Meuth also collected a team-best four blocks.
As a team, Alabama hit .224 and had 48 total kills and seven aces.
The Tide returns to action Saturday, April 10 when it heads to Tallahassee, Fla., to take part in a tournament hosted by Florida State. Alabama is slated to take on the Seminoles at 8:45 a.m. (CST) followed by Troy at 9:45 a.m. (CST). The Tide wraps up its road trip at 12:15 p.m. (CST) against Georgia Tech.
