TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Alabama head soccer coach Todd Bramble announced the spring schedule for the Crimson Tide. Alabama is slated to play up to a total of nine games on five different dates, including three dates at the Alabama Soccer Stadium.
"We are pleased to have put together a schedule that maximizes the number of playing opportunities the NCAA allows us to play while at the same time getting some really competitive games," Bramble said. "The focus on the spring is always about player development and although our intra-squad competition has been extremely high, we are eager to face some outside competition."
Alabama opens its spring schedule on Saturday, Feb. 27 as the Crimson Tide travels to Oxford, Miss., to face Vanderbilt at 1:30 p.m. and Mississippi at 5:00 p.m.
The next weekend the Crimson Tide will open its home portion of the spring schedule with up to two matches. Tentatively Alabama is scheduled to play one game on March 6 against the University of North Alabama at 6:00 p.m.
After two weeks off the pitch Alabama will head east to Birmingham to face Samford and UAB on their respective campuses. The Crimson Tide will play the Bulldogs at 11:00 a.m. on March 27 and then play the Blazers on the UAB campus at 4:00 p.m.
The Crimson Tide will play its next two dates at the Alabama Soccer Complex. On April 10 Alabama will host Georgia State at 11:00 a.m. and then play SEC-foe Mississippi State at 4:00 p.m. The Crimson Tide will close out the spring season against Jacksonville State on April 17 at 5:00 p.m.
