TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama football team practiced for two hours in full pads Tuesday afternoon. The practice was moved indoors to the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility due to inclement weather in the Tuscaloosa area.
"This game has some significance," junior defensive back Phelon Jones said. "We have to win this game in order to achieve our goals of going to the national championship.
"It is always an intense game," Jones added. "Win or lose everyone puts their all in. It is going to be an exciting game."
The Crimson Tide defense will look to keep the Tiger offense in check this Saturday. Alabama leads the Southeastern Conference and is ranked second nationally in scoring defense only allowing an average of 12.5 points per game.
Alabama and LSU will face off Saturday at 2:30 p.m., at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, La. The game will be nationally televised by CBS with Verne Lundquist and Gary Danielson calling the action from the booth and Tracy Wolfson reporting from the sideline.
