
Green Named to Coaches All-SEC Team

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - University of Alabama forward JaMychal Green was named to the preseason All-Southeastern Conference first team by the league's coaches the conference office announced Wednesday.
The coaches preseason All-SEC first and second teams consist of a minimum of eight players on each squad, voted on by the SEC Head Men's Basketball Coaches. No ties were broken and no predicted order of finish was made.
Green, a 6-8 junior from Montgomery, Ala., is the Crimson Tide's top returning scorer and rebounder after averaging 14.1 points and 7.2 rebounds per game in 2009-10. The award is the third All-SEC honor for Green who earned preseason All-SEC second team from the league's media last week and was a unanimous freshman All-SEC selection in 2009.
Green and his teammates will make their exhibition debut on Tuesday, Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. against Talladega College in Coleman Coliseum.
