TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama Athletics Department will host the Eighth Annual Halloween Extravaganza Tuesday, Oct. 26 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Indoor Football Facility located next to Coleman Coliseum.
"The athletic teams, we all set up games," volleyball player Calli Johnson, the SAAC vice president, said. "Each of the teams does a game or activity and at the end the kids get a bag of candy. There will be games and activities, such as mini basketball, dodgeball, face painting, accuracy throwing, bowling and an obstacle course."
The event is sponsored by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and provides a night when local area children 13 and under can dress up and participate in games and activities with Crimson Tide student athletes.
"It's a fun thing we can do to help the kids," Johnson said. "A lot of it is for the staff here at the University who can bring their kids. It's a fun and safe environment where they can enjoy Halloween, dress up and get some candy."
