Three Divers Finish in Top Five at Georgia Invitational

ATHENS, Ga. - Alabama put three divers in the finals on day one of the Georgia Diving Invitational being held in Athens, Ga., this week.
Senior Aaron Fleshner and junior Adam Booher both finished in the top five of the men's three-meter competition while sophomore Carrie Dragland also posted a top-five finish in the women's one-meter competition.
Fleshner scored 369.96 in finals to take third place while Booher was fourth with 367.20 points. Fleshner moved up one place from the preliminaries where he was fourth with 360.80 points. Booher on the other hand jumped six spots after finishing 10th in prelims with 307.40 points.
Dragland scored 272.60 points in finals to take fourth place, a little more than one point out of second place. Dragland was second coming out of prelims after scoring 282.90 points.
Competition at the Ramsey Center, home of the 2010 Southeastern Conference and NCAA Zone B Diving Championships, continues Monday with the men going off the one-meter board and the women competing off the three-meter. The meet concludes on Tuesday with both the men and women competing off the platform.
