Jarryd Botha Wins Final Match at SEC Indoors

ATLANTA - Men's tennis freshman Jarryd Botha came back from one set down to beat Mississippi State sophomore Daniel Sanchez 3-6, 6-1, 1-0(3) Sunday in the final round of singles consolation at the SEC Indoor Coaches' Championships.
"Jarryd hit the ball well today and continues to gain confidence," head coach Billy Pate said. "There were some positive performances this weekend from our young guys."
Next up, Botha and the rest of the Crimson Tide open the dual match season Friday, Jan. 22 when it heads to Northwestern for a 6:00 p.m. (CST) start.
"We now shift our focus to the dual match season," Pate added. "We need to have a good week of practice in preparation for our season opener at Northwestern on Friday night."
