
Carrie Dragland Wins USA Diving Zone D High Point Trophy

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Alabama diver Carrie Dragland won the platform event and the high point trophy at the recent USA Diving National Zone D Championships, here at the McDonalds Swimming Stadium, earning a berth in the upcoming USA Diving Senior National Championships.
Dragland won the platform event, was second off the one-meter board and fourth off the three-meter board at the zone meet, amassing 62 points toward the high point race, more than a dozen points better than her nearest competitor.
The Southeastern Conference Diver of the Year and Freshman Diver of the Year last season, Dragland scored 260.40 points to win the platform, 205.55 points to take second off the one-meter and 214.40 points to take fourth off the three-meter.
Dragland's Crimson Tide teammate, Lauren Dunn, also finaled at the Zone D meet, taking third place off the three-meter board with 219.50 point
